Ahhh! What an indescribably fun weekend. Our friends the Gabe and Ellen came out to New York this weekend for an interview. Ellen is an incredibly talented designer currently working at an architecture firm in D.C. and Gabe is attending law school at George Washington University. We've only hung out with these guys couple of times but we always feel like they're some of our oldest and dearest friends because they're so close to Aubrey and Russ.
Anyway we loved spending time with them. We ate delicious Indian and Cuban food, danced the night away at a special event birthday celebration in the financial district, visited the 9/11 monument and laughed way more than usual (that's really saying something because I feel like I'm laughing all of the time). We really loved visiting with them and can't wait until we can do some unnecessary over-planning for out Montreal trip. Love you guys.
Read Ellen's blog for more details. She does such a great job of explaining all that went on to make the weekend as amazing as it was.
Aren't these guys cool? We really do love them and can't wait until they move to NYC...because who knows maybe they'll get sick of D.C. and law school and want to be our house-mates instead.

Looks like fun! I feel tired just seeing everything you crowd into one week. I hope you take some down time in between - both of you!
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these pics of you and your hair twin, Ellen. You have been busy busy busy. The secret Penta-Party sounds super swanky.
ReplyDeletelove you.
Again ^ really from Tammy.
ReplyDeleteI love these photos! They capture it all so perfectly. I'm so glad that you (and by you I mean Archi) lugged the big camera out. We love you guys...like seriously. Favorite photos: the first one with Gabe in the background and the very last photo. The backdrop of the NYC is always so perfect. All the ones of the two of us posing are just great. Gabe just said, "girls will be girls!" LOVE you!
ReplyDeleteand yes we are hair twins (except your highlights are fresher than mine!)
